PLEASE NOTE: Due to today's weather the Sachs Outdoor Jazz performance will be moved indoors to the gymnasium. Enter through the front lower entrance. Food coolers will still be allowed. No outside alcohol is allowed. Cafe Hard Bean wil have food, beer and wine for sale inside.
The Sachs Jazz Series features some of the area's best musicians in an outdoor setting free and open to the public. Utilizing the front lawn labyrinth at Maryland Hall the series is underwritten by the family of the late Joe Sachs - MD Hall supporter and jazz aficionado.
Blending the blues of Mississippi John Hurt with the "hot club" swing of Django Reinhardt, The Blue Rhythm Boys have delighted audiences with their tight vocals and hot guitar playing since 1997. Tom Mitchell, Jim Stephanson, John Previti and Vince McCool bring authenticity and originality to their own smoky mix of hot jazz, blues and hokum.

All concerts take place on MD Hall's front lawn and are free and open ot the public. Lawn chairs and coolers allowed but alcohol is not. MHCA's Hard Bean Cafe will provide food and drinks including beer and wine for sale. Concerts last approximately 2 hours and will be held rain or shine. In the case of rain, concerts will be moved indoors.
