Not heard in Annapolis since 2001, Bach’s great Passion makes a triumphant return to the perfect acoustics of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church. Two choruses, two orchestras and soloists perform this piece, which is one of the finest achievements of the Baroque Era. Due to its breadth, size and scope, this work is rarely heard live, but under the direction of J. Ernest Green, the Annapolis Chorale, Annapolis Chamber Orchestra and guest artists bring it to vivid life during the Easter season.
